Communications delivery
Our principals work on every step of communications delivery, from conception, to writing, to design and production—in print, online or both.
We are experienced in a number of subject areas—business, public policy, employment, diversity, education—and tailor our words to our client's audience. We report and write copy, or edit draft material. We know how to ask the right questions and where to look to find answers. We help our clients think through what they want to say and how they want to say it, and provide a final product that is clear, credible and convincing.
We report, write and edit newsletters, books, white papers and other documents for a wide variety of corporate, foundation and nonprofit clients. We help some to communicate with internal audiences and others to reach out to the public. In all cases, we work with our clients to define their audience and tell their story.
We also handle every aspect of production, from design through printing and mailing.
And we don't just design for print. Clients often want a publication that is suitable both for print and for web posting or electronic distribution. We help them weigh the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of approaches, and come up with a strategy that suits their needs.
Working with author Susan Lucia Annunzio, Sharon wrote Contagious Success, a book that outlines the groundbreaking research conducted by the Hudson Center for High Performance and recommends strategies to accelerate high performance. Within a very tight time frame, Sharon brought coherence to the mass of data and real-world examples that make up the book’s compelling case.
Look at "Workers with Disabilities: How an underutilized talent pool can help companies gain a competitive edge," for a recent example of Sharon's writing.
Safe and Sound, which Jim produced for the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, is a good example of a design project that combined print and CD-ROM. The report examined 80 national educational programs in the areas of social and emotional learning. The 52-page print document summarized CASEL’s key arguments and recommendations, while the accompanying CD offered hundreds of pages of detail on each of the programs, as well as articles and papers that support CASEL’s approach.
