Communications training

Message development
Leaders and managers need to speak with one voice—to the media, customers, clients and the public. We work with leaders to help them shape and deliver the key messages their organizations need to convey to disparate audiences.

Media spokesperson training
To be effective media spokespeople, executives must understand how print, broadcast and online reporters operate; prepare compelling messages; and possess the skills to take control of an interview. We provide highly customized training, including videotaped simulations of interviews, for an organization’s executive team and designated representatives.

Presentation training
Studies show that people fear public speaking nearly as much as they fear death. For many, the solution is to create hundreds of PowerPoint slides and read them to their unfortunate audience. We train speakers on how to capture and keep listeners’ attention, organize the presentation so the audience takes away key points and survive the inevitable Q & A.

Crisis communications training
Our principals have prepared many clients for the crisis they hope never comes. Based on a customized, realistic scenario, we train organizations to provide the facts to the media quickly and honestly, handle reporters’ difficult questions and limit potential damage to their reputation.

Writing training
Everyone in business is a writer—of e-mails, letters, reports, presentations or blogs. Written communications send recipients a strong message about an organization’s professionalism and competence. Working one-on-one or in small groups, we tailor the curriculum to participants’ skill level, focusing on clear, concise, well-organized and interesting writing.

The training was fabulous; very professional. The content was simple and succinct. Easy to grasp and the simulations were about as real as they get. It was great having such a real-life exercise to learn from. Sharon is a wonderful, excellent, world-class trainer.
